Honolulu, HI - In 2017, multiple Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award winner Kawika Kahiapo and his wife hosted a fundraiser to celebrate a labor of love: the release of Aloha Autism, a compilation CD dedicated to those who have autism, including their beloved son Jeremiah. The CD consisted of songs donated by well-known, award-winning artists, including Jack Johnson, Nathan Aweau, Amy Hanaiali'i, Henry Kapono, Jake Shimabukuro, and many more. Proceeds from the CD and the event benefitted organizations that provide services to individuals with autism and other disabilities: the Kahumana Learning Centers and The Arc in Hawaii.

On November 11, 2018, the Kahiapos and the Hawai'i Autism Foundation will host another Aloha Autism fundraiser to benefit the same organizations. The fundraiser will be held at the Hard Rock Cafe in Waikiki from 2-5pm.

This year's event will feature live music by Nathan Aweau, John Cruz, Imua and Tiffa Garza, and Kawika Kahiapo. Guests will receive one complimentary copy of the Aloha Autism CD per person, and enjoy a heavy pupu buffet consisting of steak & vegetable kabobs, kalua pulled pork sandwiches, crispy shrimp, mini bruschetta bites, crispy macaroni & cheese bites, Chinese chicken salad and Oreo cookie cheesecake. Hosted beer, wine, and soft drinks will be available, and there will be prize drawings. Additional copies of the Aloha Autism CD will be available for purchase at a special event-only price of $10 each, or three for $20.

General admission tickets are $65 in advance and $85 at the door for cocktail tables without chairs. Preferred VIP seating is available at $420 for a booth seating six and $700 for a table seating 10. Advance tickets may be purchased through eventbrite via the Aloha Autism website at http://www.alohaautism.com (Discounts are available for those who "like" the Aloha Autism Facebook page. Look for promo codes for all three levels of tickets, and apply them to your ticket order.)

Validated parking will be available across the street at the Bank of Hawai'i building, 2155 Kalakaua Ave. for up to 4 hours.
