Nā Hōkū Hanohano award winners Kimo Artis and Zanuck Lindsey, plus Kai Artis, Richard Heirakuji, Lopaka Hoʻopiʻi, and Adj Larioza are “Kapala” – a band that combines traditional and contemporary Hawaiian music with blues, country, jazz, reggae, rock, and swing to create their own unique and infectious "Hawaiian Pop" sound - and they’re headed to Northern California for a short concert tour! AND.... joining them for two of the shows is former band member, the incredibly talented Shawn Ishimoto! The tour kicks off Thursday February 27 in Santa Cruz at the Reef Bar/Pono Hawaiian Grill (120 Union St). Show time is 6:30pm. Tickets are $8 and are available online. ALSO!!!! Earlier in the day on March 2, Shawn Ishimoto will be performing at Don Quixote's near Santa Cruz (6275 Hwy 9, Felton). He’ll be joined by Kimo Artis of Kapala.
